Hawthorn Woods Village Hall

Enjoy a good book and share with friends in the Hawthorn Woods Book Nook Reading Club. Our group meets at Village Hall once a month. With this FREE club, all books will be provided for you, courtesy of Fremont Library. Our leader, Peter Ponzio, is a distinguished published author, professional editor, and Hawthorn Woods resident. He will prepare questions for you to consider while you read, and lead discussions at our group meetings.  This month’s book is Heart of Darkness… get your copy today!

Guidelines for Shared Inquiry Discussion

  • Read the selection carefully prior to coming to our group discussion meetings.
  • The leader will ask questions to the group to stimulate discussion. Ideas should be supported with evidence from the text
  • Discuss the ideas in the selection and try to understand them fully before exploring issues that go beyond the selection.
  • Actively listen to other participants, and respond to them directly.

New readers always welcome! Contact Amy at [email protected] to obtain a FREE copy of our current book, courtesy of Fremont Library.

“There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book.  I love reading.  This is a great way to meet up with our neighbors and it’s wonderful that the books are provided.  I hope to see you there!”
